Series 2! How and when?

Jul 23, 2013

Hey everybody! First off, let me say we're really excited to be working on Series 2. It will introduce randomized booster packs and two new factions: the British and the Italians!

A little background on these new factions:

- The British: The British will be represented in the Tails and Tactics Universe by Red Foxes. They can be seen on the Foreign Exchange Soldier card for the Americans and also in the Sponsor's Pogo Stick that the IndieGoGo supporters get. With their introduction comes another new innovation: The Air Force! While the first four decks of Series 1 were all troop-based decks, the British of Series 2 will be an Air Force-based deck! We'll reveal more on this as soon as we have more testing done.

- The Italians: Representing the Italians as of Series 2 will be the Genet! Related to eh mongoose, civet, and fossa, these adorable little critters can already be seen in the Foreign Exchange Soldier card for the Japanese. The Italian deck will be focused on armored combat. They will include such classics as the Basic Light Tank and will introduce new instant classics like the Ridiculously Tiny Tank! We'll show you guys more as soon as we can.

We're already testing Series 2!

With rudimentary cards printed at home, as we did in the early stages of Series 1, we're already working on making a well-balanced vehicle-based deck for the Italians as well as introduce the mechanic of aircraft. We'll keep everyone informed with development as it continues.

Printing Series 2 will be difficult for us. We cannot print Series 2 without sales! Tell your friends, encourage your local game clubs, buy another deck, anything helps!

If you haven't seen the store yet, check it out! We don't just sell cards, we also sell WWII-themed posters and the Basic Unit's Field Manual! Ever wonder what your units on the field read to last longer on the field? Now you can!

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you
wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do
with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead
of that, this is magnificent blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.

Let me start this comment by pointing out, I am British. I can't say I'm disappointed with the British specialising in aircraft. After all the RAF was an essential part of keeping Hitler out of Britain however that's only because we were able to manoeuvre the whole of our air force to where they were needed before the Germans could get there. The truth is our air force was weak (although can there ever be a better plain than the spitfire). Our strength was in our infantry. We were, and still are, the best trained in the world.

Also, why are we being represented by red foxes. They can be found all over the world. Granted so can the Brits but the red fox isn't strongly associated with Britain. Why not a British Bulldog or Staffordshire Bull Terrier (beautiful dogs) or Scotties. Ah well I guess there's no point moaning about it now x x
